A dual board-certified physician (Internal & Integrative Medicine), former Internal Medicine Residency Program Director, and software developer. He partners, advocates, teaches, mentors, researches, treats — and builds — to improve healthcare.

Former IM Residency Program Director and active clinical faculty at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine and UF Health. Dual board-certified in Internal Medicine (ABIM) and Integrative Medicine (ABOIM) — and also ABIHM — he is dedicated to patient care, lifestyle medicine, and modernizing medical education.

The technologist

Engineering the system.

Deep expertise in mathematics (abstract algebra & topology), physics, and computer science (AI & machine learning). He studied under Dr. Ernest McDuffie — a national leader in cybersecurity and software engineering, whom he credits as an invaluable mentor — competed in national programming competitions, and co-founded an early ISP. That background now drives his work engineering constraint-optimized healthcare systems like rPraxis and deploying advanced AI clinical workflows.

2017 – 2024

Program Director, Internal Medicine Residency

Graduate Medical Education · Gainesville, FL

Inherited a 15-resident start-up and grew it to a fully-subscribed 60-resident academic program with continuous ACGME accreditation and zero citations. Recruited and onboarded 160+ residents; expanded from a handful of ward blocks to 30+ inpatient, outpatient, and community rotations via affiliation agreements; managed $250K+ annual education budgets; and chaired the Program Evaluation, Faculty Evaluation, and Clinical Competency Committees. Built data dashboards for milestones, duty hours, and quality. Graduates matched into competitive fellowships — cardiology, critical care, GI, endocrinology, and infectious disease.

2016 – 2025

Internal Medicine Supervisory Physician

HCA Florida North Florida Hospital

Guided 160+ residents and a dozen faculty in continuity clinic. Taught a full procedure curriculum — point-of-care ultrasound, joint and trigger-point injections, and biopsies — and carried managing-physician duties including EMR optimization and quality reporting.

Took a brand-new IM residency from concept to ACGME accreditation with commendation, under Dr. Steven Yale.

2012 – 2016

Internal Medicine Physician & Medical Director

HCA Healthcare

Founding internist of the Tioga Town Center primary-care clinic. Built a personal panel of 2,500 patients, repeatedly beat CMS and commercial quality benchmarks, and was invited to pilot Medicare and private delivery models.
